ADVENTURES IN PUBLIC EDUCATION

  1. Yesterday, a student continued to spell the word “language” incorrectly even though he had the word, a) right in front of him in his spelling dictionary, b) already in his daily journal (which he was writing in) spelled correctly about 10 times, and c) spelled correctly by me three times previous.  I then asked him if he had ever seen a movie called The Sandlot; he said no.  I still replied, “YOU’RE KILLING ME, SMALLS!!”
